We are celebrating three years of Shark Tank today.
I still remember when me and my mom started Ekatra back in my college days. I had seen so many women around me with talent and skills but not the right place to use them. As a woman, I strongly believed I had to build something that valued those skills and made them independent.
Ekatra started with just the two of us. Then we welcomed our first woman artisan - and step by step, we kept growing. In 2023, we took a big step and applied to Shark Tank. From preparing our pitch, to standing on national television, to getting funded - it all felt like a dream. At that time, we were only a small team of 23 women.
Shark Tank gave us more than funding. It gave us courage and a big push to grow. From doing everything on our own, today we are leading a family of 250+ women, working with corporates, creating opportunities, and building something that belongs to all of us.
When I look around today, I feel proud to say Ekatra is a women-led company, built by women, run by women, empowering women.
This journey was never just about me and my mom. It has always been about everyone who supported us, believed in us, and walked with us.
And we are proudly celebrating three years of Shark Tank with our team today.
